無聊

我有時會想，如果長期把小貓困在家中，又沒有其他小貓作伴，我的小貓會「悶死」嗎？牠時常走到窗台邊，遠望車子像螞蟻般爬行；有時又坐在閘門前，凝視著外面的升降機入口。我猜，牠必定想出外逛逛吧！
於是好心的我，決定為牠安排一次「歷史性訪沙田一天破冰之旅」，順道帶牠見獸醫檢查一下身體。
最後當然沒有成行了。
因為一踏進升降機，牠就開始瓜瓜叫；我把牠按住，著牠不用怕，但一踏出升降機門，便發出淒厲的喊聲，繼而咆哮，睜著眼睛，把四肢用力往外推，爪也出齊了，嚇得二十米以外的管理員都前來問個究竟。
那時才發現，原來我的小貓真是細膽得可以！也難怪，因為牠從小到大都在溫室中長大，對外面的世界既好奇且害怕乃貓之常情。
可是問題仍未解決：作為貓主人，我有責任讓小貓過一些有意義的生活嗎？如果我可以使牠覺得「不枉此生」， 那我就成功了嗎？還是如爸爸所說，你不是貓，你怎知道牠不開心、不滿足呢？也許牠更享受愛睡便睡的自由，飯來張口的安穩。又或者，「無聊」已經成為牠生命意義的一部份．．．我想起幾年前在甘肅坐駱駝橫越沙漠時的感受：
「做駱駝苦嗎？牠沒自由啊，只能被主人牽著走。牠悶的嗎？還是牠跟我一樣，已陶醉於沙漠的浪漫當中呢？聽說駱駝也吃得好，那麼牠就應該滿足了嗎？」

then you can take him further and further away from homeee

你的貓根本是十分幸福，不用帶它出去啦．
我的貓也是一樣，一踏出門口就喊，也是會讓人以為我和太太在torture佢．

You may consider getting a cage for him, and then take him out in the cage. Once you are out of the city, that if you get out of the city, then see if he will come out. Domestic cats are usually mortified of the outside world.

This is maybe something that is also true for people as well...
You may long for something, seemed to be interested in them..
But once you got them, probably you would be scared to take the chance that lie ahead of you...
I don't know...

但是人類在想甚麼我們都不明白
何況是貓呢?

some cats just hate being exposed to foreign environments head on, feeling "naked". Next time take your hooded sweater, put the hood over his head and wrap the sweater around him, then carry him out during the most quiet hours, see how he reacts. Cats feel very vulnerable if they think everyone can see them and they have nowhere to hide.
